Nic Andrew, Head of Nedgroup Investments

Nic Andrew

Head of Nedgroup Investments

Nic completed his articles at Deloitte and Touche (SA) and joined their Corporate Finance team in London in 1996. In 1999, he joined Nedcor Investment Bank and later became Head of Investments. Following the merger between BoE and Nedcor in 2003, Nic was appointed Head of Nedgroup Investments.

Liezel Momberg, Chief Operating Officer

Chief Operating Officer

Liezel joined Nedgroup Investments in 2003 as Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance Services. She has worked in the financial services industry since 1996, gaining experience as senior legal advisor at Old Mutual, and as compliance officer at Nedcor Investment Bank.

Richard Williams, Chief Financial Officer

Richard Williams

Chief Financial Officer

Richard has worked in the financial services industry for more than 30 years in various finance and data roles. He joined Nedgroup Investments in 2003 from African Harvest, as a fund accountant. He was later responsible for building the management information and analytics team, before being appointed head of finance and business intelligence. 

Ashraaf Hoosain, Head of Client Services

Ashraaf Hoosain

Head of Client Services

Ashraaf joined Nedgroup Investments as Finance Manager in July 2004 and was later appointed as Head of Client Services. Before that he spent seven years at Woolworths, where he held various positions within retail and financial services.

Trevor Garvin, Head of Multi-Management

Trevor Garvin

Head of Multi-Management

Prior to his current role, Trevor set up and ran the multi-manager division of BoE Private Clients for seven years. He was previously a director of Edge Asset Management after the merger of Edge and TMA Investment Products Services. He has also worked as a consultant at Barra International and lectured Economics and Finance at the University of Cape Town.

Shaun Anderson, Head of Retail

Head of Retail

Shaun has 28 years' experience in the asset management industry. He joined Nedgroup Investments in 2005 as Head of the Retail Business. Prior to that he worked at NinetyOne as Head of Retail. He also served as a director of Investec Personal Investments and Investec Investment Management Services.

Phatheka Ncwana , Head of Marketing

Phatheka Ncwana

Head of Marketing

Phatheka joined Nedgroup Investments in 2008 as Head of Marketing. Before that she was Head of Marketing at SYmmETRY Multi-Manager. Phatheka also worked for Old Mutual Fairbairn Capital as Senior Marketing Consultant and Old Mutual Employee Benefits as Brand Communication Specialist. Prior to joining financial services, she worked in broadcast media for SABC and P4 Radio.

Rushdah Salie, Head of Human Resources

Rushdah Salie

Head of Human Resources

Rushdah has over 10 years’ HR leadership experience and was appointed Head of Human Resources in September 2010. Prior to joining Nedgroup Investments, Rushdah served as the Head of HR at BoE Private Clients (now Nedbank Private Wealth) and held various HR roles at Woolworths (Pty) Ltd. 

Rob Johnson, Head of Investments

Rob Johnson

Head of Investments

Robin joined Nedgroup Investments in 2016 as Head of Investments, with responsibility for the 'Best of Breed' range of investment funds. Prior to joining Nedgroup Investments, Robin held the position of Head of Portfolio Management for Morningstar’s Investment Management group for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Robin has been working in the investment industry since 1997 and has more than 16 years’ experience as an Investment Consultant and Portfolio Manager for Fund of Fund multi-asset strategies.

Quaniet Richards, Head of Institutional

Quaniet Richards

Head of Institutional

Quaniet joined Nedgroup Investments in 2016 as Head of Institutional, responsible for growing and developing the Institutional business for Nedgroup Investments. Prior to joining Nedgroup Investments, Quaniet held the position of Head of Strategic Partners for Sanlam Investments. He has also held the positions of Chief Client Officer for Momentum and Marketing Director for Investec Asset Management. Quaniet has 19 years of experience across the South African investment industry.
